Township Art Display Program

Williamstown Township Board of Trustees, recognizing that the Township Hall is a community hub as well as a resource center, has established a program designed to support our local arts community by offering artists the opportunity to publicly showcase their artwork. The goal is to display high quality original art work utilizing highly visible, centrally located walls and counter space, with preference being given to local artists, and the subject matter of the art.

Artist Ron Cook

Currently, the Township is displaying the art of Township resident Ron Cook. Ron finds much of the inspiration for his work in the wild lands of the state as they change with the seasons. He has always enjoyed the stark contrast in winter landscapes and the vivid color of new growth in the spring. He continues to be fascinated by the ability of basic shape, line, and color to evoke powerful emotions in the viewer.

Artist Bobbi Kilty

The Township will be displaying the original art work of Williamstown Township resident Bobbi Kilty starting December 5th. “Creating something from “nothing” is both joyful and fulfilling. It is stimulating to work with new materials and techniques, to experiment and to explore possibilities while reserving judgement until it is time to resolve the work. My latest encaustic paintings demonstrate the use of various substrates and the creation of work that is more translucent and luminous. Nature is clearly incorporated through much of the work, regardless of media. Big brush painting in water media and in encaustic adds a dynamic component. Concern for the environment and ecosystem is a common theme.”

Pricing and contact information available at the Township.
