Art Tour FAQs
How does the Art Tour work?
Each artist sets up their art booth at either a Township area venue or an art studio within or adjacent to the Township. Each venue has a directional sign posted. A tour map is available online or provided at each venue. Visitors may download an event brochure with a tour map at www.williamstownmi.gov.
How many artists are in the Art Tour?
Generally, there are between 15 -25 artists set up at 7-10 venues. Visit our website at www.williamstownmi.gov to check out our event brochure. The event brochure lists each artist, their art medium, and their venue location.
How does the raffle work?
The Art Tour artists donate a unique art piece to include in the raffle. Each visitor may use their wrist band to enter the raffle and select their favorite artist. The art pieces are on display at the Township Hall. After the event the winning raffle entries will be notified.
Is the Art Tour a fund-raising event?
Yes, Williamstown Township area artists spearheaded this event in 2006 with the support of the Township. The goal was to promote area artists and raise money to purchase playground equipment at the Township parks. The ticket price of $5.00 has remained the same since the first event.
Where do I pick up the wrist band?
Purchase a ticket at any of the venues or the Township and receive a wrist band. Use the wrist band at the end of the tour to enter the raffle. Williamstown Township is located at 4990 Zimmer Road, Williamston. Online tickets may be purchased at Eventbrite. You can find that link at www.williamstownmi.gov. Please submit your e-ticket at any venue to receive the wrist band.
